Welcome to Mix It Up Monday – a Social Media hop where we share projects that MIX IT UP! We’re mixing up a traditional scrapbook layout with some different types of media such as texture paste, foil, paint, ink, spray, gesso, thread, stitching, in fact, the SKY is the limit!
This hop is a collaboration between Anna from Piece Craft Love and Kimberly from I’d Rather Be Scrapbooking but anyone is welcome to play along (please add your link on the sign up so we can include you in the hopper list).
We post the inspiration sketch on the last Monday of the month (TODAY) and then the Hop takes place on the 2nd Monday of the month 02/14/2022)!

What is a Social Media Hop?
If you aren’t familiar with a Social Media Hop it goes something like this, each month on roughly the same day, the “hoppers” post to their specified platforms based on a given theme (in this case it’s a scrapbook sketch plus mixed media). Most of the time I see this on either YouTube or Blogs (remember blog hops in the “old days” – although the Coffee Loving Cardmakers still hosts some pretty awesome blog hops each year) and it can even be on Instagram, although it’s a little more tricky to hop around on IG (in my humble opinion).
So the hoppers share a list of links to all the other hoppers and those who are hopping can just click the next link, watch the video or read the post and then click the next one, etc. I think it’s a fun way to see how different people interpret the same prompt or sketch or just scraplift inspiration photo! One of the hops I’ve participated in recently is the Mixed Media Frenzy YouTube hop which happens on the last Friday of the month. In fact, I have another video going live on 12/31!
